The great debate among travelers these days is just how to structure an itinerary when in another place. Some people prefer to spend all day sightseeing and visiting popular tourist attractions, while others just want to relax and take a deep breath that they aren't able to have during their daily lives.

Luckily, there are many places across the country that can satisfy both kinds of travelers' needs. Casago evaluated TripAdvisor reviews for hundreds of popular venues and compiled the 20 most peaceful tourist attractions in the U.S., as well as the most peaceful attraction in each state.

Florida is home to the most attractions out of the top 20, including two at the top of the list. The most peaceful place in the country according to visitors is the National Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche at Mission Nombre de Dios in St. Augustine; Sholom Park in Ocala comes in at number two. Delray Beach's Morikami Museum & Japanese Gardens, meanwhile, sits at number 15, while Lake Wales' Bok Tower Gardens brings up the rear at number 19.

Locations with religious attachments seemingly hold a special place in many people's hearts. In addition to the La Leche shrine, nearly all of the top 10 peaceful places have some sort of religious association, including Idaho's Idaho Falls Temple, Alaska's National Shrine of St. Thérèse, Hawaii's Byōdō-In Temple, and South Dakota's Chapel in the Hills.
