10 Brands That Actually Provide The Inclusivity They Preach
The fashion industry has been so elitist that inclusivity has been on the back burner. Over the past few years, the industry has shifted, and I want to highlight the brands that are really preaching inclusivity.
1.Fenty Beauty & Fenty Skin Gets it
When it comes to making sure everyone feels included, no one does a better job than Rihanna and Fenty. Using models from the ages of 18–60, with different body shapes, and who identify as men, women, and nonbinary people, Fenty truly GETS it.
2.Target Gets It
Target has been doing a great job of being progressive in front and behind the scenes. One of three officers at Target is a person of color, and the company has a goal of increasing their representation of color by 20% when 2023 hits.
Clothing wise, Target is as inclusive as it comes. Recently the company announced that social media star Tabitha Brown will be having her size-inclusive clothing line launched. The brand will have both standard and plus sizes ranging from XXS through 26W. This is proof in the pudding on how inclusive Target is.
3.Adidas Gets It
Adidas is one of the best sports brands in the world but also a key player in showing DEI in all branches of the brand. Last year, Adidas created a liquid billboard in the Middle East to highlight that one-third of women globally feel uncomfortable swimming in public.
The brand used Middle Eastern athletes as ambassadors, putting a spotlight on those athletes, and it won the Outdoor Grand Prix at Cannes Lions Awards.
4.Parade Gets It
Parade is becoming a Gen Z favorite, and the company has launched Gender- Expansive Underwear thats killing it in the market due to its accessibility and inclusiveness.
Parade offers briefs, thongs, and boy shorts, with the best part being that the sizes range from XS to 3XL.
5.Girl with Curves Gets It
Since its foundation, Girl With Curves does a wonderful job of making women feel amazing.
Sizes ranges from size XXS–5X, and the company has been doing a good job of bringing a modern-meets-classic collection to QVC.
6.American Eagle Gets It
AE has become such a great company over the years. Using models of all walks of life, including putting a spotlight on models with disabilities, makes it a bright spot in the industry. Donating 100% of their pride collection to LBGTQ foundations and being height inclusive are highlights for me on this brand.
7.Jessica Alba's Honest Beauty Gets It
Jessica Alba's Honest Company is amazing. Whether it's fashionable diapers for babies, detergents and wipes, or products for moms of all walks of life, Alba makes an intentional product for the buyer.
The company is eco-friendly and is valued at $1.7 billion for a reason.
8.Haus Laboratories Gets It
Lady Gaga's Haus Labs is a clean, 100% recyclable, innovative makeup brand.
The brand is gender inclusive and one of the few cruelty-free cosmetics brands with a mission of spreading creativity and love the right way.
9.Pharrell Williams' Humanrace Gets It
Humanrace products are vegan makeup from the mind of Pharrell that caters to all.
"Three-Minute Facial Routine" is a three-step process that Humanrace created. It is user friendly and $100 to buy.
10.Alicia Keys' Keys SoulCare Gets It
Keys' cruelty-free skincare line is very open to being great for different skin textures.
The amount of intention and time Alicia Keys put into this brand's inclusiveness is admiring. Soulcare uses influencers from all races as models and uses their content on their social media. Soulcare is rapidly climbing the ladder among best skincare products.
