10 Best Spots to Power Nap at Walt Disney World Instead of Going All the Way Back to Your Hotel

All you need is faith, trust, a little pixie dust...and sometimes a power nap! Don’t mind if we bibbidi-bobbidi-do.

A visit to Walt Disney World is nothing short of magical, but sometimes walking around the parks can have us feeling like Sleeping Beauty. However, rather than missing out on a second of fun by returning to the resort to rest and recharge, there are plenty of places across the Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Animal Kingdom and Disney's Hollywood Studios where you can enjoy a quick snooze.

I myself have enjoyed naps at all four of the parks throughout the nearly 30 years that I've been visiting Walt Disney World. I've slept inside Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress, woken up to "Golden Dream" at The American Adventure and more.

While you'll want to experience these attractions awake at some point, these spots make for an ideal place to catch some zzz's—and it doesn't hurt that they are air-conditioned!

From Tomorrowland to EPCOT's World Showcase, here are 10 of my favorite places to power nap at Walt Disney World.

The Hall of Presidents

Located in Liberty Square is The Hall of Presidents, a personal favorite napping spot of mine and my mother's. The attraction, which features animatronic replicas of every U.S. president, might bring back memories of dozing off in history class for some as the story of the nation's founding is played in the air-conditioned theater.

Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress

Over on the other side of the park in Tomorrowland is Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress, a classic attraction that takes guests through the evolution of technology. Grab a seat and take a catnap as the seating area moves around a stationary stage—you're just a dream away!

Mickey's PhilharMagic Concert

As Donald Duck embarks on an adventure in pursuit of Mickey’s sorcerer’s hat, you can enjoy a 12-minute snooze at Mickey's PhilharMagic in Fantasyland. The light splashes of water in the concert hall haven't bothered my snoozes to date.

Rest as you go for a slow-moving ride above Tomorrowland. The 10-minute tour takes guests behind the scenes of attractions like Space Mountain. Although it's not a theater, it's a nice option since you can take a load off your feet, plus there is air conditioning in the buildings.

Spaceship Earth

The giant sphere at the entrance of EPCOT is home to Spaceship Earth. Nap through time during the slow-moving, 16-minute attraction, which is narrated by Judi Dench...talk about soothing.

The American Adventure

Over in the American Adventure Pavilion at EPCOT's World Showcase is The American Adventure. The patriotic attraction is a must for history buffs and perfect for sleepy parkgoers looking to take a break and sleep. Delight in a golden dream of your own...I sure have more than once!

Living with the Land

In The Land Pavilion at EPCOT, you'll find the Living with the Land attraction. Hit pause on eating and drinking around World Showcase or riding thrill attractions like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind with this slow boat tour.

Finding Nemo: The Big Blue... and Beyond!

Finding Nemo: The Big Blue... and Beyond! is a spectacular musical located in an enclosed theater between DinoLand U.S.A. and Expedition Everest. While I love the show, which is based on Pixar’s Finding Nemo, the theater is cool and dark making it a great spot to just keep sleeping.

Vacation Fun - An Original Animated Short with Mickey & Minnie

Another theater where you can briefly doze off in Hollywood Studios is the Mickey Shorts Theater, where an animated short starring Mickey and Minnie Mouse is played.

As I mentioned before, be sure to check out these attractions and shows at another time when you're awake, but if a power nap is the wish your heart is making, then these spots will make that dream come true!
