Amongst the seasonal projects — lots of Christmas trees and bats — are some basic DIY kits perfect for tweens and teens looking to get into the world of knotting.

This flower keychain kit comes in three colors: lilac, sunflower, and rose. Note that each kit only comes with one keychain, so if you want a trifecta, you'll need to order three. How great would this be for a casual girls' night activity?

Moon+Star Macrame Kit

Add a touch of whimsy to your space with this Macrame kit that provides you with everything you need to make a hanging moon and star. The finished bag should measure around 7" by 10" and while it'll be pretty delicate (don't put loose change in this holey bag), it does come with a waterproof zipper bag to go inside. There are also two different ways to finish the bag, so you can experiment with what works best for you.

This one doesn't come with a ton of extras, so you might want to invest in a few Macrame essentials like a ruler and a comb before you get started.
