You don’t have to go abroad to find the best glamping spots, as we’ve got some amazing staycation opportunities right here in the UK. From lavish treehouses and yurts to cosy log cabins and a double-decker bus, there are some extraordinary choices.
1. Camp Quaives, Kent
Home to 20 canvas bell tents and close to Canterbury in Wickhambreaux, this glamping site is ideal for a break in Kent. Camp Quaives' luxurious tents are pitched in the secluded fields of a 19-acre estate. It's more like an outdoor boutique hotel than a campsite and guests love the comfy beds, fancy linen and robes, as well as the delicious food. You don't have to worry about where to eat as there's an on-site restaurant serving Mediterranean-style dishes and pizza. There's also a fire pit for fun evenings under the stars, as well as manicured gardens and a tennis court to keep you entertained throughout the day.
2. Torre Cider Co, Somerset
Campers who like cider are in for a treat at this glamping site in Somerset as you can sleep in the middle of an orchard at a family-run cider farm. What's more, you'll stay in a wonderful safari tent. While you won't come across any giraffes or zebras at Torre Cider Co, your own furry friend is welcome to join you at the dog-friendly glamping spot. There's enough space for a family of five and the interior of the tent features bespoke furniture made from aged cedar and repurposed apple wood, all hand carved by the owner's friends and local artists Karina and Rob Heard, MBE.

Set in the grounds of the Holycombe Holistic Retreat Centre, you'll find weekend classes and holistic therapies to try during your luxury camping escape. There's a stone circle at this mystical glamping site and plenty to see and do nearby, including traditional Cotswold pubs and the wildlife-packed Whichford Wood.
