10 Best Dressed: Week of September 10, 2018
Between New York Fashion Week and the Venice Film Festival, it was a banner week for the world’s most stylish. Three themes stood out. First, there was sparkle and bling aplenty, on Tilda Swinton and Stacy Martin in Chanel haute couture and Priyanka Chopra in Ralph Lauren. Second, there emerged a nod to the balletic on Alicia Vikander in Louis Vuitton and Chloë Sevigny, also in Chanel haute couture. Third, everyone looked terribly grown-up, from Natalie Portman in Christian Dior couture to Cardi B, all slick sophisticate, in Tom Ford. And finally, who doesn’t love a bold mash-up? Just consider buzz-cut Dree Hemingway in Ralph Lauren and Suki Waterhouse in multi-print Marni. So many lessons, so many red carpets to come.
