From French braids to slashes of eyeliner to full-on ocean floats, this week's best beauty Instagrams were defined by an explosion of uplifting color. Master of makeup Olivia Kaiafa edged out high-slung pigtails with chartreuse bow barrettes and graphic eyes reminiscent of Prada's Fall 2018 statement lids, as elsewhere, DJ Venus X's colorful collective of beaded braids paired best with a nearly makeup-free moment.

For Shereen Mohammad, a brushed up cloud of curls was made more angelic with a wash of baby blue shadow that diffused into a pale haze, while musician Shayna McHayle (stage name: Junglepussy)'s fringed and frayed sherbet-tinged chop featured exaggerated accessories and a straight-to-the-point caption.
