You Can Make $1,000 Testing Trader Joe's Fall Foods, From Pumpkin Waffles to Ravioli—Here's How to Apply

While many enjoy the final weeks of summer, others can't shake that feeling of excitement that fall is right around the corner. Carving Jack o' Lanterns, going apple picking, and—most importantly—enjoying all foods and beverages pumpkin-flavored, are hallmarks of the spooky season. If you want to kickstart Autumn early, apply to be Trader Joe's pumpkin spice taste taster.

Given the moniker "Pumpkin Spice Pundit," the grocery store chain is looking for people to try all of their fall-inspired products. If selected, you'll try everything from pumpkin-stuffed ravioli for dinner to pumpkin-flavored cereal and waffles for breakfast. What's more? You even get paid for enjoying the delicious selection of seasonal delights—$1,000 for your work as well as a $500 Trade Joe's gift card.

Sound like your dream job? Interested applicants can apply on FinanceBuzz's website, which uses market research to help shoppers decide which foods to budget for and which to skip. Like any job, there are a few criteria to apply. First, you must live near a Trader Joe's where you can shop in person. Additionally, you must reside in the United States and be at least 18 years of age.

If you get the gig, you'll use your gift card to purchase one of each of the available seasonal fall foods to taste test. For each food you select, you'll need to take a photograph of the item, write a brief description, and rate the food based on several criteria. The results will be shared on FinanceBuzz so shoppers can purchase the most beloved snacks for the season.

Applications are due by August 28, 2022 at 11:59 EST. The selected candidate will be chosen on September 2, 2022 and contacted through email. If chosen, you'll have from September 2 to September 18 to pick up you autumn-inspired goodies.
