We’re taking a peek inside our favorite health and fitness experts’ gym bags to uncover their must-have gear and favorite products.

Name: Jason Walsh, CSCS, NSCA-CPT, President of Rise Movement and CEO/Creator of Rise Nation

My workout: I’m a strength guy, so I like to lift heavy. I lift weights at my Los Angeles personal training studio Rise Movement five to six days per week. Three or four days per week, I do conditioning at Rise Nation. I also teach group workouts at Rise Nation three days a week. We use a climber to give you a full-body workout in only 30 minutes.

What’s in my gym bag:

  1. Liquid Grip is like using chalk without the mess.

  2. Rise Nation T-shirts because I like to represent great companies.

  3. Rise Nation CamelBak water bottle because hydration is essential for great workouts.

  4. Plazma drinks for before and during exercise. It’s a carbohydrate beverage that helps get me through the toughest workouts.

  5. Mag-10 post-workout recovery drink, because you’ll lose muscle if you’re not giving your body the tools it needs to recover and build.

  6. My lucky Electric and Rose hat, because sweat bands are out.

  7. Perform Better mini resistance bands for lateral movement training and warmups. Mini bands are great for many reasons, but we use them around the knees and ankles to do squat walks, straight leg lateral walks, linear walks, and bent-knee staggered-stance lateral walks. They’re great for strengthening and warming up the hips and butt.
