Take 2 Minutes To Do This Routine After Your Next Run

Stretching after a run is important to muscle recovery, but it’s also an easy-to-forget step. Maybe you don’t think it’s that important, or you don’t really know what to do. Or maybe you only stretch when you feel muscle tightness (at which point, stretching may not do much good and could even cause more tension).

That’s why Matt Giordano, a yoga instructor and runner, put together this foolproof yoga routine that will help you relax while you cool down. This routine can help “to guide your bone structure into a place where your muscles can release,” Giordano explains to Yahoo Health.

Watch the video above as Giordano takes you through a two-minute post-run yoga sequence, part of Gaiam’s new “Athletic Yoga for Runners” DVD (available on Amazon).
