New Ammo in the Fight Against MS
Ann Romney is fighting a battle tougher than any political campaign her husband, Mitt, has ever waged. She has multiple sclerosis — a disabling disease that affects the central nervous system and disrupts the flow of information between the brain and the body. Romney has managed her illness, for which there is no cure, through mainstream and alternative medicines and therapies — ones she wants others suffering from neurological diseases (including Alzheimer’s, ALS, Parkinson’s and brain tumors) to benefit from, too. She has just announced plans to open the Ann Romney Center for Neurological Diseases at Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston.
In a special Yahoo News interview, News and Finance anchor Bianna Golodryga speaks to Romney and her personal physician, Dr. Howard Weiner, about the work the center will be doing when it opens in 2016.
