Christy Harrison, Nutritionist Focusing On Eating Disorders

Christy Harrison, MPH, RD, CDN, Registered Dietitian Nutritionist

Christy Harrison, MPH, RD, CDN is a registered dietitian nutritionist in private practice, specializing in eating disorders, chronic disease prevention and management, and health at every size. Using sound nutrition science and incorporating principles of intuitive eating and mindfulness, she works with clients to improve their relationships to food while improving their health. Her services include one-on-one nutrition counseling, meal planning, in-home cooking instruction, and supported meals for individuals recovering from eating disorders. Prior to opening her private practice, Christy worked at the New York City Department of Health, where she helped improve food offerings in city facilities including hospitals, homeless shelters, and senior centers. She received her master’s degree from NYU, and completed her practical training in nutrition and dietetics through Hunter College. In addition to her work as a nutritionist, Christy is also a journalist with more than 11 years of experience in food and nutrition media. She has written for and edited award-winning books, magazines, and websites, including Gourmet and Modernist Cuisine.
