Von Miller is one of the best defensive players in the NFL. The Denver Bronco’s linebacker has the speed to get past any offensive lineman and often makes opposing coaches cringe when he sacks their quarterback. Below are two exercises Von does daily to stay ahead of the competition. If you want to improve your balance, speed and agility then add these exercises to your workout program.

Standing Long Jump

Stand with your feet facing forward and roughly 12 inches apart. Next, explode forward using your arms to generate momentum. Land with your knees bent and on both feet. Repeat.

Perform 3 sets of 10 jumps.

Acceleration Bounds

Start by facing forward. Next, leap into the air off of one foot and land on the opposite foot. Focus on a soft landing and be ready for an explosive next jump. Bring your knee high into the air as you jump. Continue for a distance of 10-20 yards. Repeat.

Perform 3 sets of 10 reps each.
