11 Health Role Models for the Rest of Us

Some stars are obviously healthy. (Think: Jessica Alba, Gwyneth Paltrow, and anyone who’s been on the cover of Men’s Health in the past 10 years.) But you can be healthy without six-pack abs or bounce-a-quarter-off-them buns — and that goes for celebs as well as us regular folks.

As part of Yahoo Health’s Body-Peace Resolution, we’re celebrating a positive, inclusive approach to health. The idea that “healthy” can take many different shapes and sizes is gaining momentum. So let’s expand our idea of what a health role model is — starting with the stars we’re highlighting here.

And before you hate on us for picking guys like Kevin Smith: Yes, these celebs may not be perfect, but who is? We say progress — not perfection — is a more realistic resolution.

Some of these stars have reached a health achievement worth celebrating. Will Ferrell, for one, is an accomplished marathon runner. Others, like Hillary Duff, live a general lifestyle of well-rounded wellness. And still others, like Jonah Hill, are to be lauded for their ongoing quest to live a healthier lifestyle.
