New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman released an open letter to Federal Communications Commission Chairman Ajit Pai, accusing the agency of stonewalling his office's investigation into what he called a "massive scheme" to inundate the FCC's public net neutrality review process with fake comments. "The process the FCC has employed to consider potentially sweeping alterations to current net neutrality rules has been corrupted by the fraudulent use of Americans’ identities and the FCC has been unwilling to assist my office in our efforts to investigate this unlawful activity," Schneiderman wrote to Pai, a Republican appointed to head the agency by President Donald Trump.

The sports doctor accused of molesting young athletes while working for USA Gymnastics and Michigan State University pleaded guilty today to multiple charges of sexual assault. Wearing an orange jumpsuit and handcuffs, Dr. Larry Nassar appeared in court in Michigan's Ingham County and pleaded guilty to seven counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct involving girls who were 15 years old or younger. The plea deal calls for a minimum prison sentence of 25 years, and the judge could set the minimum as high as 40 years.

The 24-year-old defector, identified only by his last name, Oh, was shot at least five times by North Korean guards before he made it past the demarcation line on Nov. 13. The United Nations Command in control of the border between the two Koreas released dramatic video footage that shows Oh speeding south in a Jeep, before getting out and running from North Korean soldiers who open fire on him.

Hours after actor Jordan Fisher and his pro partner Lindsay Arnold won the season 25 Mirrorball Trophy, the "Dancing With the Stars" champions were whisked away for a private cross-country flight to New York City. The United Nations Command in control of the border between the two Koreas released dramatic video on Tuesday of what happened when a North Korean soldier defected to the South on Nov. 13. The video shows the defector speeding south in a jeep before getting out, being shot at least five times by North Korean soldiers pursuing him and then being dragged to safety by South Korean soldiers. The surveillance video also showed one of the North Korean guards step across the demarcation line between the two countries while chasing the defector, in violation of a cease-fire agreement.

Lindsay Menz, who has accused Sen. Al Franken of groping her at the Minnesota State Fair in 2010, is speaking out about the alleged incident for the first time on camera this morning. In a statement to ABC News, Franken said, "I take thousands of photos at the state fair surrounded by hundreds of people, and I certainly don't remember taking this picture. Menz's claim comes just days after Los Angeles radio host Leeann Tweeden accused Franken of forcibly kissing and groping her in 2006.
CBS has fired veteran journalist Charlie Rose after multiple women accused him of sexual misconduct. "This followed the revelation yesterday of extremely disturbing and intolerable behavior said to have revolved around his PBS program," the statement read in part. After the network's announcement, CBS Evening News reported Tuesday night that three unnamed accusers from CBS News came forward with allegations of misconduct.
The travel forecast across much of the country for one of the busiest travel days of the year will be quiet with minimal travel disruptions on the road and in the air. A federal court ordered a halt Tuesday to President Donald Trump's order barring openly transgender people from serving in the military. The court issued a preliminary injunction that was publicly announced by the American Civil Liberties Union, which is a part of the lawsuit against the ban. The legal move stops any ban on transgender individuals from serving in or being recruited by the military and allows any transition-related surgeries to take place if those are a part of the individual's medical plan.
The remains of two individuals have been found in the rubble of a Pennsylvania senior living community that burned down in a massive fire last Thursday. Authorities discovered the first victim of the Barclays Friends Senior Living Community fire in West Chester, Pennsylvania early Tuesday morning. The second victim was found Tuesday afternoon, and crews are continuing to search for the remains of two other individuals previously reported missing.
