Vivian Howard Is All About Shrimp in the Next ‘A Chef’s Life’

The second season of Vivian Howard's PBS show, A Chef’s Life, got off to a great start last week. (Blueberries! Blueberries out the wazoo!) The spirited North Carolinian chef is definitely one you should know, and we’re intrigued to see what happens in Sunday’s new episode as she readies to open her second Kinston, N.C. restaurant, The Boiler Room.

In the preview above, an "on edge" Howard scrambles to whip the eatery into shape on schedule. But she still finds time to visit what looks like some sort of shrimp shanty to lend her fish stock "some really super-shrimpy flavor."
