A 60-Second Look at a $175 Tasting Menu

Unless you’re a Russian oligarch, it’s not every day you get to enjoy a sumptuous tasting menu that costs more than some domestic plane tickets. But here’s good news for the plebeians: Eater’s new 60 Second Tasting Menu series shows us all the luxe goodies we’re missing. In one minute flat.

The second installment in the series ushers us through the winter tasting menu at chef David Bouley’s eponymous New York restaurant, Bouley. The eleven-course meal goes for the paltry sum of $175. And man, is it gorgeous.

Sure, there’s an element of heck-yeah-you’re-missing-out, but we’re willing to put ourselves through such torment. Just look at that sea urchin course. Hand us our smelling salts!

The first 60 Second Tasting Menu episode, which featured four-star Italian restaurant Del Posto, is also worth a watch. Just be prepared to pick your jaw up off the ground.
