Pancakes for Prince's Live Concert Tonight

In T-minus 8 hours, Yahoo Live will live-stream Prince and his band 3RDEYEGIRL’s PLECTRUMLECTRUMARTOFFICIALAGE dual-album release party from Paisley Park studio in Minneapolis, Minnesota. (Tune in here at 10:30 p.m. ET.)
The first, ART OFFICIAL AGE, is a classic R&B-driven Prince album, while on PLECTRUMLECTRUM, he collaborates with his funky rock trio 3RDEYEGIRL. We can’t wait to listen—or to watch, given that the Purple One seldom lets viewers into his legendary studio. As Yahoo Music reported yesterday: “The Paisley Park studio tour is a rare look at the $10 million, 65,000-square-foot recording facility where Prince regularly hosts events and recorded albums Love Sexy, the Batman soundtrack, and Diamonds and Pearls, among more than two dozen other sets.”
We’re not sure how Prince fuels up for live performances, but we’re guessing pancakes are on the menu. Because he loves pancakes. Not only did he give advice to Jess, Zooey Deschanel’s character on her hit Fox TV show New Girl, over pillowy discs of dough, but Dave Chappelle also highlighted Prince’s pancake-making skills on an episode of “The Chappelle Show” in 2004. Which is why we’re perplexed by this single on the new ART OFFICIAL AGE: “Breakfast Can Wait.” We have it on good authority (a friend of a friend) that Prince also loves scrambled eggs, another breakfast food, which he served at a party at his home earlier this year.
