George Clooney's Wedding Tequila

Details are slowly trickling in about George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin’s weekend wedding, which was apparently quite the boozy fête. AFP reports that for their Venetian extravaganza, the couple flew in 100 cases of Casamigos tequila, a brand the actor co-owns. Clooney even handed off a bottle to a paparazzo loitering outside the shindig.

It was a glamorous affair, soup to nuts: Guests tucked into canapés of polenta festooned with wild mushrooms before diving into a lavish five-course dinner that included lemon risotto with lobster and sea bass.

It’s O.K., George and Amal: We’re sure our invitations just got lost in the mail. We’ll still toast you tonight, perhaps with the Italian margarita recipe from Casamigo’s website. The classic tequila-based cocktail gets a European spin thanks to arancello, a twist on limoncello that calls for orange instead of lemon peels. Campari adds a touch of bitterness, while sweet agave syrup keeps the flavors in balance.

Nursing some disappointment that Clooney is officially off the market? Make yourself two: This recipe is easy to scale up.

1 part white tequila, such as Casamigos Blanco
1 part arancello
3/4 part fresh lime juice
1/2 part agave syrup
1/2 part Campari
Lime wedge for garnish
