If These Little Running Wiener Dogs Don’t Melt Your Heart, Nothing Will
Heinz has hired a bunch of little wieners to star in the company’s Super Bowl ad this year.
The commercial features dozens of dachshunds, also know affectionately as “wiener dogs,” dressed in full hot dog costumes, galloping toward people dressed up as bottles of Heinz’s barbecue sauce, ketchup, and mustard.
The dogs joyfully leap into the arms of the “condiments,” and face-licking ensues.
The ad earns major points for adorableness — as most commercials with cute dogs often do — but the sight of a pack of dachshunds dressed as hot dogs running, with their floppy ears flapping in the breeze, gives this ad a super-high cute factor.
Watch the ad in its entirety above before kickoff, and if it doesn’t make your heart melt, you simply don’t deserve a seat in front of the television on Sunday.
