Accessorize Your Candy: Cute Halloween Gear

I know Halloween is supposed to be scary and ghastly, but blame it on the hormones, I’m more interested in adorable Halloween accessories this year. I grew up in the South and so all of my friends had super crafty trick or treat bags their moms made; I was given a pillowcase slipcover to carry candy in. (And no, it wasn’t a cute ghost pillow case à la Martha Stewart.) I am determined my children won’t suffer the same ignominy I did.

Here are a few adorable treat bags I found:

From Pottery Barn Kids, a personalize-able cat felt tote treat bag ($13).

From Etsy, a bat “candy monster” treat bag ($19.50).

Also from Etsy, a monogrammed tote ($14). (I can’t help it. I’m a sucker for monograms.)

Last, but not least, if your child is planning on hauling in a serious amount of candy, a basket (also from Etsy, $26) might be best.

Whether you have children or not, Halloween is the perfect time for adding a festive spin to your tablescape. I recommend throwing a full-blown party with a few of these Epi recipes and the products below.
