11 Cities, 11 Taco Trucks, 1 Epic Cookbook

Listen up, taco fans: On Tuesday, October 28, 11 trucks in 11 cities across the nation will fire up taco recipes from Mexico: The Cookbook, a 704-page tome from Mexican chef Margarita Carrillo Arronte that just hit shelvesthis week.

It’s probably the best excuse you’ll have to eat tacos all week. And “Taco Tuesday” has a certain ring to it, yes? Here’s the list of participating trucks:

Chicago, Illinois: La Adelita (@adelitatruck)
New Orleans, Louisiana: La Cocinita (@LaCocinita)
Boulder, Colorado: Comida (@eatcomida)
Washington, D.C.: Rito Loco (@RitoLoco)
St. Louis, Missouri: Cha Cha Chow @whereschacha
Miami, Florida: Latin Burger (@LatinBurger)
San Antonio, Texas: La Gloria (@iamchefjohnny)
Fort Lauderdale, Florida: Nacho Bizness (@NachoBizness)
New York, New York: Tacombi (@Tacombi)
Hoboken, New Jersey: The Taco Truck (@TheTacoTruck)
Houston, Texas: Hugo’s (@Hugos_Houston)

Each mobile eatery’s menu is up to its chef (as long as it comes from the cookbook’s “Street Food & Snacks” chapter), so we suggest keeping a eye on their Twitter pages for clues. Will La Adelita in Chicago serve up the potato and chorizo blue corn tacos, flecked with smoked chipotle chiles? Is Rito Loco in Washington, D.C. putting the unctuous tacos al pastor dressed with tart pineapple juice on the menu?!

If the suspense is killing you, attending one of these Taco Tuesday events may be the answer. And if you can’t, just eat a taco elsewhere… you know, in solidarity.
