The former One Direction star released his fourth studio album on Friday, May 17

Zayn Malik is one with nature in his latest music video.

On Friday, May 17, the "Pillowtalk" musician, 31, debuted his music video for "Stardust" alongside the release of his fourth studio album, Room Under the Stairs.

In the visual, directed by Frank and Ivanna Borin, Malik is an otherworldly creature exploring earth, following falling stars, wading in a magical lake and a forest where rocks hang in the air.

"Feels like stardust / Floatin’ all around us,” he croons on the folk-pop track. “Shootin’ right across a / Big black sky.”

Malik released his latest LP Room Under the Stairs on Friday, May 17, his first with the label Mercury, which is also home to artists including Noah KahanPost Malone and Lily Rose.

In February, Rolling Stone confirmed that he would be releasing a new album. The 15-track album is co-produced by Dave Cobb, known for his work across the country and rock genres with artists like Chris StapletonBrandi Carlile and Lady Gaga.

The outlet reported that Malik had been writing the album for many years at his home in rural Pennsylvania before he got the Grammy-winning producer, 49, involved.

“What got me about Zayn was his voice, you can hear love, loss, pain, triumph and humanity in it. I feel as if this record is removing the glass from his spirit directly to his fans,” Cobb told Rolling Stone of Malik's LP.

He added, “Zayn has really created his own universe on this record, he really has no fear and is speaking straight from his soul."

Malik introduced fans to the album with its first single "What I Am," which dropped on Friday, March 15.

Earlier that month, the "Let Me" singer teased his album with a short video on Instagram. "I think the intention behind this album fully is for the listener to get more insight on me personally as a human being," Malik said in the clip.

He continued: “My ambitions, my fears… and for them to have a connection with that. And that's why it's so raw, you know?"
