Zack, Deborah & Eli Snyder Behind French Foreign Legion Action Series ‘Until The Last One’; AGC Launching Hot TV Package During Series Mania

EXCLUSIVE: AGC Television is dropping a hot TV project into this week’s Series Mania market in Lille.

The Stone Quarry’s Zack Snyder (Zack Snyder’s Justice League), Deborah Snyder (Wonder Woman) and Wesley Coller (Rebel Moon) are among producers of French Foreign Legion series Until The Last One, whose pilot is being directed by Eli Snyder, most recently second unit director on his father’s Rebel Moon.

The series will follow a British deserter from the infamous French Foreign Legion who is found twenty years after fleeing the harsh reality of his mercenary service and forced back with the new recruits in the thick of danger. The series will chart the violence and the politics of the global hotspots where the Legion are sent to fight and the emotional stories and scars carried by its recruits.

The Foreign Legion is famed for its uniqueness as a military outfit, being an army of misfits from all over the world including criminals, adventurers, romantics, the rejected, the disillusioned and the dispossessed often looking for a second change.

Also producing are Vertigo Films’ Allan Niblo (Bronson) and Nathalie Peter-Contesse (300), Hollywood Gang’s Gianni Nunnari (300), and AGC’s (The Tinder Swindler) Lourdes Diaz and Stuart Ford. Showrunner is Matthew Parkhill, creator of shows including Rogue and Deep State.

AGC Television is assembling financing on the proposed 6 x 1-hour returning series and introducing the material to international partners at Series Mania. Casting and start date have yet to be set on the project which will mark Eli Snyder’s film and TV debut as a lone director and is among Stone Quarry’s first TV series. Nunnari previously teamed up with the Snyders on the 300 franchise.

It is a terrific script about this secretive world we are excited for audiences to dive in to.”

AGC Studios Chief Creative Officer Lourdes Diaz stated: “We are incredibly excited to join forces with Stone Quarry, Vertigo and Hollywood Gang on this visionary project. We think Eli’s distinctive directorial vision with Matthew’s powerful international thriller storytelling make this a uniquely compelling series for the international marketplace.”

The Stone Quarry has Rebel Moon: Part Two — The Scargiver upcoming for Netflix. Vertigo is currently filming Curfew for Paramount+. Nunnari and HGP are currently in post-production on Roland Emmerich’s gladiatorial epic Those About to Die (Peacock).

Upcoming for AGC TV are Those About to Die, season two of Troppo, and Gray starring Patricia Clarkson. On the film side the company is in post on Ron Howard’s Eden starring Ana De Armas, Jude Law, Sydney Sweeney, Vanessa Kirby and Daniel Brühl, and Justin Kurzel’s The Order starring Jude Law, Nicholas Hoult and Tye Sheridan. Also in pre-production on the feature side is Will Smith action-thriller Sugar Bandits.
