Oscar winner's hilarious response to being asked what Brad Pitt smells like

Minari’s Yuh-jung Youn became an awards-season favorite for her amusing speeches, particularly one at the BAFTAs during which she expressed delight at being honored by the British voters despite their reputation for being “snobbish.”
Youn delivered more charming moments at the Oscars after her win for Best Supporting Actress, clearly in awe of being presented the statuette by Brad Pitt.
But the real fireworks came backstage when Youn — considered the “Meryl Streep of Korea” and only second Asian woman to win the category — was repeatedly asked about Pitt. One reporter even asked her what Pitt smelled like.
“I didn’t smell him,” Youn cracked. “I’m not a dog.”
(In fairness, the full question was also about words were exchanged between Youn and Pitt, who was a producer on Minari through his Plan B Entertainment production house, as they walked offstage.)
Youn, who plays the wise-cracking grandmother of an immigrant Korean family that relocates from California to an Arkansas farm in Minari, was also asked if she’d ever make a film with Pitt.
“No, that would never happen with my English and age — I don’t think so,” she said. “It’s an impossible dream.”
