  • Season 3 of Yellowstone ended in August 2020, and fans have been on the edge of their seats waiting for season 4.

  • The season 3 finale left viewers uncertain if main characters John, Beth, and Kacey Dutton would be returning.

  • Kelly Reilly, who portrays Beth Dutton, posted a cryptic Instagram photo on May 1 that may provide clues to her character's fate.

The season 3 finale of Yellowstone left fans with more questions than answers. The drama-filled Western stars Kevin Costner as patriarch John Dutton, who will stop at nothing to protect his ranch and fortune. His children Kayce (Luke Grimes), Beth (Kelly Reilly), and Jamie (Wes Bentley) are all very involved in the family business. The explosive finale found John, Kayce, and Beth all fighting for their lives after separate violent attacks. Who survived? Is Jamie to blame? Is hedge fund manager Roarke Morris (Josh Holloway) involved?

Viewers will have to wait a bit longer to find out all of the answers to their questions, but eagle-eyed fans are wondering if Kelly dropped a clue on her Instagram feed about Beths' face.

On May 1, Reilly posted this beautiful photo with the caption, "Dream come true riding out on the 6666 ranch today." 6666 is a historic cattle ranch near Guthrie, Texas, which Yellowstone creator Tyler Sheridan is in the process of buying. Paramount+ also recently announced two new Yellowstone spinoffs, one called Y:1883, and a second with a working title of 6666.

Fans immediately jumped in to speculate what this means about Beth's fate. One commenter said, "If she’s at the 6666 ranch does that mean she survived the season 3 finale?!?"

One fan really thought things through with this message, "If I want to analyze her words, dream come true, Beth always wanted to learn how to ride a horse! And being with Rip!! So let’s hope she’s combining both riding a horse with Rip while filming at the ranch 6666."

Other fans speculated that this suggests Beth is going to be a part of the new spin-off: "It’s rumored that they are doing a spin off and it’s about a ranch in west Texas and it’s called 6666." Another even suggested it would be a great honeymoon destination! "I believe they are filming a cross over with Yellowstone or honeymoon at the ranch 6666 with Rip."

We sure hope these fans are right. As a fan favorite, many hearts would be broken if Beth met her untimely demise, especially after Rip's proposal. We're really hoping season 4 brings a Rip/Beth wedding.

If you need a refresh on the first three seasons, there's time to binge-watch the series before season 4 returns. Here's how to watch, even if you don't have cable.
