Bianca Censori, the Australian designer and model, was “physically assaulted” earlier this week, according to a rep for her husband, Ye (formerly Kanye West), by a man who Ye then allegedly attacked.

“The assailant didn’t merely collide with her,” a statement from Ye’s chief of staff relayed by the rapper’s rep says. “He put his hands under her dress, directly on her body, he grabbed her waist, he spun her around and then he blew her kisses. She was battered and sexually assaulted.”

According to reports, Ye punched the alleged assailant in the face early Wednesday morning at the famed Chateau Marmont hotel in West Hollywood. Police confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter on Thursday that officers had responded to an incident at the 8200 block of Sunset Boulevard at 12:15 a.m.; Fox News 11 also shared footage of detectives outside the hotel later the morning of the incident.

Ye is reportedly under investigation by the police after he was allegedly named by a victim as the person who assaulted him in West Hollywood.

The Los Angeles Police were reportedly planning to speak with Ye and Censori regarding the incident, according to TMZ, which broke the story. The couple had been photographed at Disneyland hours earlier on Tuesday and later appeared unfazed as both drove and rode around Los Angeles separately on Wednesday.

Simple assault is a misdemeanor punishable by up to six months in jail and fines of up to $1,000 fine, according to the California Penal Code.

This is only the most recent instance of Ye facing potential charges after striking someone. In January 2022, the rapper punched a man who had been following him and turned out to be an autograph broker seeking Ye’s John Hancock. The City Attorney’s Office decided not to pursue a case against Ye following the attack. He can also be seen in a video posted by TMZ attacking a celebrity photographer in the middle of an intersection in an incident from 2023; he did not face charges in that incident, either.
