Y&R Spoilers: Jack Sends Out a Surprise SOS

The Young and the Restless spoilers for Thursday, April 11 see Jack at the end of his rope with an obviously unwell Ashley. But before he calls the men in the white coats, he has one more Hail Mary pass in his arsenal.

The Only Game in Town

Isn’t it weird how, with every single citizen from Old Man Victor (Eric Braeden) to tiny tot Harrison (Redding Munsell — who will appear this week) having some pretty obvious post-traumatic-stress-induced psychosis, Genoa City doesn’t have any full-time, on-duty psychiatrists? Connor (Judah Mackey) had to go out of town to see a specialist. We don’t know where the doctor treating Chance (Conner Floyd) went. And whether Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) is faking being crazy or actually spiraling, she always goes somewhere else for treatment.

So what is Jack (Peter Bergman) to do when he finally accepts that his sister is mentally ill? He has no medical professional to turn to. So he goes for the next, best thing. Sharon (Sharon Case — what happened with her?). She got her therapy degree…off-screen. And she now spends her days either pouring coffee of being a media mogul. Surely, she can squeeze Ashley (Eileen Davidson) in for some quick care. Right? For Jack? For old times’ sake?

Where Am I?

But how long will it take Sharon to figure out that Ashley is spending the bulk of her days locked in a heavenly mattress factory? (What? How would you describe it? We’ve got three mattresses in front of a white background. They’re either napping in heaven, in limbo, or at a very socially distanced Sleepy’s.)

Traci (Beth Maitland) seems to be the only one who understands the severity of her sister’s problems. And is willing to risk her anger to help. But will Ashley just push back even harder?

Psycho Drama

Finally, while almost everyone in the Newman family has decided that they not only love Claire (Hayley Erin), but trust her, too, Summer (Allison Lanier) seems to be doubling down on the “we know nothing about her why is everybody dropping their guard like this?” posture.

Claire was all she talked about with Chance, and now she’s going to war with Kyle (Michael Mealor) over her. Kyle is getting really, really tired of taking care of this own kid. What’s the point of being rich if you can’t dump that boring duty on someone else? Kyle wants to hire Claire to be Harrison’s new nanny. Summer isn’t feeling it. Hey, would this be a good time for Kyle to remind Summer that she has no legal standing with her ex-stepson whatsoever?
