Winner announced! Champion crowned for best pizza in Volusia-Flagler
After four rounds of head-to-head matchups over the last month, the winner of the best pizza restaurant in Volusia-Flagler has now been determined, all thanks to your votes.
The final round of voting took place last week, March 25-29, with the final two pizzerias battling it out for the crown. Polls closed at noon Friday, following a neck-and-neck competition between Giuseppe’s Steel City Pizza and Genovese’s Italian Café, with Giuseppe’s Steel City Pizza coming out on top.
“We feel honored and blessed. We do it because we love it, and this community has always taken care of us, so we really appreciate things like this,” Owner Julie Mialki and son Jojo Mialki said.
“We wouldn’t be here without our customers and without this community. We couldn’t be in a better spot. We feel very blessed to still be in business — 42 years.”

The beloved, family-owned business has been an overtly successful local staple since its opening in 1982, promising fresh ingredients and quality dishes daily.
