Wind Breaker episode 6 recap

The episode starts with Suo coming down from the stage after decimating Kanuma. Umemiya congratulates him for the fight, while Sakura warns him not to fight like that during their fight. Sakura gets ready to climb the stage but is ignored by Togame, who refuses to fight yet.

However, Sako gets up and points at Hiragi to get on stage. Hiragi tells Sakura to calm down and not underestimate Jo, as he is Shishitoren’s second-in-command. Meanwhile, Kanuma drags Arima to the other side of the stadium. Sako’s lightning-paced attacks keep overwhelming Hiragi, forcing him to defend continuously. He hits Hiragi with a fearsome roundhouse kick, which sends him flying.

However, after some choice words from Sakura, Hiragi gets back up. The episode then reveals that Hiragi had once been responsible for training Sako after saving him from some bullies in school. The match quickly swung in Hiragi’s favor as his strength overwhelmed Sako. He apologizes for letting Sako down and knocks him out.

Togame asks someone to remove him from the stage, but Hiragi does so gently. Togame tries to remove Sako’s jacket but is stopped by Hiragi, who warns him to worry about his match. The episode ends with Umemiya telling Hiragi he can tell him about his past whenever he wants to.
