'Wicked' movie shows epic, cinematic scope in preview

It may be a bit premature to look to the holiday movie season given the summer is just under way, but there are a few films on the slate coming later this year that many will be looking forward to.

“Wicked” might be the most highly anticipated. Based on the story of sisters Elphaba (Cynthia Erivo) and Glinda (Ariana Grande), the witch sisters from “The Wizard of Oz,” the record-breaking Broadway musical will release the first part of Jon M. Chu’s epic adaptation Nov. 27 with the second part set for Nov. 26, 2025.

Here’s a sneak peak of the film which will have a new trailer available Wednesday (May 15).
