Whoopi Goldberg slams Trump with 'you know you're racist when...' speech

Whoopi Goldberg started the week off on The View with scathing criticism of President Trump’s continued Twitter attacks on four congresswomen. Trump has lashed out at Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Ayanna Pressley and Rashida Tlaib, also known as “The Squad,” in a series of tweets many have slammed as “racist.”

Goldberg hit back on Monday’s episode of The View, reading off a laundry list of reasons she feels Trump’s tweets aren’t appropriate. “You know you’re a racist when you retweet white supremacists defending you, like Katie Hopkins. You’re racist when you post a photo of Hillary Clinton next to a Jewish star and a pile of money. You know you’re a racist when you complain casino owners who get tax breaks don’t look like Indians,” she said.

Goldberg didn’t stop there. She placed much of the blame on Trump’s senior advisor, Stephen Miller, who defended the president during a recent interview. “Stephen Miller, you are the poster boy for all of this. You put all of this together,” she said.

Co-host Joy Behar took issue with one of Trump’s tweets in which he said the four congresswomen aren’t “capable of loving our country.”

Behar turned the tables on the Trump, questioning whether he loves his country. “Does he love America? Does someone who praises murderers and autocrats and dictators around the world and goes against the CIA—does he love America?

Viewers on Twitter reacted to both Goldberg’s and Behar’s comments, with many agreeing that the president’s tweets were indeed racist:
