This father-daughter-owned concept was born of a shared love of family cooking. Tim Dulac and Brittany Dulac say on Elderberry’s website that they “decided in the fall of 2023 that they could make their dreams a reality by joining forces.” Elderberry Provisions, which offers catering and to-go lunch, dinner and bakery, is set to open on April 9 in St. Matthews at the former site of Cheddar Box. Elderberry Provisions already has a Kentucky Derby menu posted on its site.

Kiwami Ramen is expected to open soon in the former Wild Ginger Sushi Bistro space on Bardstown Road, following an extension renovation to the building and some construction delays. The restaurant will serve Japanese fare and ramen, made with broth slow-cooked for over 20 hours.

Kiwami Ramen initially targeted a December opening date, however, a remodel is still underway. Co-owner Duy Tran estimates the renovation will cost $500,000. Tran teamed up with his brother, Duc, to open Kiwami and bring “something really authentic” to their hometown of Louisville, he previously said.
