A cast and crew of over 65 Hanover Public School Students are set to transport audiences to the magical Land of Oz during their spring musical production this weekend.

Students of varying ages and from all five district schools will put on four shows of "The Wizard of Oz" from April 12-14 in the high school auditorium.

Based on L. Frank Baum's 1900 book, "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz," the story of Dorothy Gale and her fantastical journey became an icon in American culture thanks to the timeless 1939 live-action film, which is celebrating its 85th anniversary this year.
