Wendy Williams’ son is reportedly facing ongoing financial trouble following his mother’s guardianship that started nearly two years ago. According to damning court documents, Kevin Hunter Jr. owed nearly $4,400 in overdue rent for his luxurious Miami apartment.

As a result, Hunter was reportedly served with an eviction notice after he didn’t pay February rent. His lease started September 15, 2023, with rent being $3,713 a month. The star’s only child paid more than $7,000 for a security deposit. Documents filed on March 5 reveal that the case was dismissed, which implies the debt has been remedied.

Williams’ guardianship started in May 2022 after her bank, Wells Fargo, froze her accounts. The financial institution took action due to concerns Williams being of unsound mind. Wells Fargo believed the former television talk show host was being financially exploited, with a financial guardianship being the best solution.

Hunter also experienced similar money trouble in 2022 when he was evicted from his former $2 million Miami apartment. He was sued for $70k in back rent that Williams couldn’t pay any longer stemming from legal and medical reasons. Williams has had a slew of health issues over the years including Graves’ disease, lymphedema and drug and alcohol abuse.

Last month, her caretaker released a statement that stated doctors diagnosed Williams with primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia. “Wendy is still able to do many things for herself,” the statement read. “Most importantly she maintains her trademark sense of humor and is receiving the care she requires to make sure she is protected and that her needs are addressed.”

Her issues were explored in the controversial Lifetime documentary, “Where Is Wendy Williams?,” which premiered in February. Hunter reportedly works as a party promoter in Miami while attending classes at Barry University.
