Wendy Williams slams Madonna's Billboard Music Awards performance: 'She moves like an old lady'

Wendy Williams was not impressed with Madonna’s performance at the Billboard Music Awards and she didn’t hold back on Thursday’s episode of her show.

Williams said of the Material Girl, “She moves like an old lady...and if you move like an old lady then you should just stick to your old lady moves.”

Flanked by a team of dancers, multiple holographic versions of herself and the Colombian superstar Maluma, Madonna turned the Billboard Music Awards stage into block party for the first performance of her new song, “Medellín” on Wednesday night.

But none of this impressed Williams, including Madonna’s look. “Those stupid grills, and the patch over her eye, and she was sitting on the floor, and the dancers were dragging her around like a wet dishrag...like, eww,” Williams said as her studio audience cheered.

Madonna’s fans rushed to her defense on Twitter, slamming Wendy for her criticism of the artist:

Other Wendy watchers sided with the top talker and were living for the drama:

The host wrapped things up with some advice to the star, saying “Just stick with the old stuff, Material Girl and junk. We like that.”
