Wednesday Season 2 Adds New Cast Member

Steve Buscemi is ready to get his weird on as he will join the cast of Netflix's highly anticipated second season of Wednesday.

Variety reported the exclusive, revealing that "sources say Buscemi will play the new principal of Nevermore Academy."

Wednesday stole Netflix viewers' hearts in 2022 when the first season - starring Jenna Ortega in the well-established role of Wednesday Addams - landed on the streaming service.

It went on to land 12 Emmy nominations, winning four of them: Outstanding Contemporary Costumes for a Series, Outstanding Original Main Title Theme Music, Outstanding Contemporary Makeup (Non-Prosthetic) and Outstanding Production Design for a Narrative Contemporary Program (One Hour or More).

Ortega will return for the second season, which will reportedly begin filming later this month in Ireland following its delay due to the Hollywood strikes which took place last year.

Further details on season two are firmly under wraps, but the first season followed Wednesday's life as a student at Nevermore Academy, where she harnassed her unique talent for solving mysteries and thwarting deadly attempts that threatened the existence of Nevermore.
