Taking place in the namesake video game franchise’s retro-futuristic post-apocalyptic world, the new Fallout series is set 219 years after the nuclear disaster. The story centers on Lucy MacLean (Ella Purnell), a Vault Dweller who leaves her underground community and enters the wasteland above. Fans of the video game will see some familiar faces, like The Ghoul / Cooper Howard (Walton Goggins) and Birdie (Cherien Dabis).

How to Watch Fallout TV Show Online
The new Fallout series is a Prime Video exclusive, so you will need a Prime Video subscription to watch the show. Already have a subscription? Head here to watch Fallout.
If you don’t have Prime, there are two ways to sign up. The first is to get Prime Video with Amazon’s all-inclusive Prime subscription. This includes a host of benefits (besides access to Prime Video) like Amazon’s free two-day shipping, an Audible subscription, and access to special deals. Prime subscriptions cost $14.99 a month, or $139 a year if you pay annually. Students can also get a special rate of $69 a year.
If you’d rather pay less and just get access to Prime Video (without the other Prime benefits) you can do so. Amazon offers Prime Video subscriptions, à la carte, for $8.99 a month or $10.99 a month for an ad-free plan. Obviously, this isn’t a huge discount, so we think the full Prime subscription is well worth the extra few dollars a month.

When Does Fallout Come Out? Release Date
The Fallout show premieres on Prime Video on Wednesday, April 10, at 6 p.m. PT. All eight episodes of the first season will be available to watch at once. There will also be a special live premiere of the first episode where fans can choose a faction and interact with each other in a live chat.
