Washington Crossing Beerfest to include 100-plus breweries. How to get tickets early

A mid-spring gathering of dozens of the Delaware's Valley's finest breweries, taking place in one of Bucks County's most historic locations, is on tap when the 13th annual Washington Crossing Spring Beerfest comes around in May.

Here's everything you need to know about the beerfest, including which breweries will be taking part and how to get tickets.

More than 100 breweries to participate in Washington Crossing Spring Beerfest

The more than 100 breweries — ranging from the Bitchin Kitchen Brewery in Morrisville to the Philadelphia-based Yards Brewing Company — have confirmed attendance at Washington Crossing Spring Beerfest.

The event is set for Saturday, May 4 from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Washington Crossing Historic Park along the Delaware River in Upper Makefield.

"Attend the first, and best, beer festival of the season at the Washington Crossing Historic Park in Bucks County, PA," read a portion of an online post. "This year, we will be expanding upon our wide selection of IPA’s, allowing you to sample a variety of brewed malt beverages, including ciders, kombuchas, lagers, stouts, seltzers, and teas, throughout the day.

"There will be delicious drinks, mouth watering food, and live music in a beautiful wooded setting overlooking the Delaware River. All proceeds benefit the Friends of Washington Crossing Park."

And no good beerfest would be complete without the dozens of food vendors that will be on hand, and performances by bagpipe rock artists.

This is the only brewfest the Washington Crossing Brewfest team will host this year, as the fall brewfest has been cancelled.

Discounted Washington Crossing Spring Beerfest tickets go on sale in March

Beer fans may want to act fast to save a few bucks on tickets to the Washington Crossing Spring Beerfest. Tickets go on sale Friday, March 1 at a discounted, 48-hours-only price of $45, and will be available for purchase online.

After that, tickets are $50. There will also be a limited number of $15 designated driver tickets.

All of the proceeds from Spring Brewfest ticket will benefit the non-profit Friends of Washington Crossing Historic Park.
