Tonight on “The Voice,” the voting results from the Top 9 live performances are revealed. Four artists are voted through, and the five remaining sing for the instant save. The stakes are high as only five artists make it to the live finale to compete for the title.

The four-time Emmy Award-winning musical competition series “The Voice” returns with the strongest vocalists from across the country invited to compete in the show’s newest season, which premiered February 26 on NBC (8pm PT/ET). The show’s innovative format features five stages of competition: Blind Auditions, Battle Rounds, Knockouts, Playoffs and Live Performance Shows.

8:00 p.m. – “Previously on ‘The Voice’!” In the 18th episode, all nine remaining contestants sang live for a spot in the finale: Nathan Chester and Bryan Olesen of Team Legend; Karen Waldrup, Tae Lewis and Madison Curbelo of Team Dan + Shay; Maddi Jane and Serenity Arce of Team Chance; and Josh Sanders and Asher HaVon of Team Reba. But enough about last night — let’s find out the results!

8:01 p.m. – First on stage tonight was coach Chance the Rapper in a solo performance of his new single “Together.”

8:04 p.m. – Uninterested in wasting any time, Carson Daly brought out the nine semi-finalists for some questions and to reveal the first artist that will advance to next week’s finale. Based on audience vote, the first finalist of the season was Karen Waldrup from Team Dan + Shay.

8:11 p.m. – The second artist to move on straight to the finale was Nathan Chester from Team Legend. The third finalist announced was Josh Sanders from Team Reba.

8:19 p.m. – In a short break from results, Anitta took the stage for a performance of her two singles “Ahi” and “Lose Ya Breath.”

8:22 p.m. – The fourth artist that advanced to the finale based on the audience vote was Asher HaVon from Team Reba.

8:30 p.m. – The five artists not automatically advancing to the finale performed live for the instant save. First up was Serenity Arce from Team Chance with “Because of You.”

8:33 p.m. – Next up was Tae Lewis from Team Dan + Shay with “Wanted.”

8:41 p.m. – For his instant save performance, Team Legend’s Bryan Olesen sang “Viva la Vida.”

8:44 p.m. – Team Dan + Shay’s Madison Curbelo went with “Man in the Mirror” for her save performance.

8:47 p.m. – The last to perform was Team Chance’s Maddi Jane with “I’ll Never Love Again.”

8:59 p.m. – Once the voting window closed and the artists had a chance to give thanks and final words to their coaches, Carson announced the fifth finalist as voted by tonight’s audience was Bryan Olesen.
