“I felt like I had already won on so many levels, not knowing destiny had a gift for me and it was Carson saying my name! Y’know, so I was so overjoyed,” said HaVon.

HaVon had taken a two year break from singing before turning chairs in his blind audition and in the finale his rendition of a Whitney Houston classic may have put him over the top. “Last night was a victory moment,” said HaVon. “I had made it to there and I wanted America to feel all of my heart.”

HaVon’s coach felt the victory. “Not only is he a great singer but he’s got a huge heart,” said Coach McEntire. “And he’s got a witty sense of humor and the things he says cracks me up and totally entertains me.”

Now, HaVon can look forward to entertaining many others. “When I sing, I sing my struggle, I sing my triumph, I sing my heartaches and my heartbreaks, but I also sing my victory,” said HaVon.

And this one could be life-changing. “He’s great at this,” said McEntire. “He’s a natural star.”
