Victoria Monét Rejoices over Receiving Her 3 Grammy Trophies in the Mail: 'They Came!!'

"It's an incredible reminder that when you want something, the only thing between you and that thing is time," the three-time Grammy winner wrote to fans on Instagram

Victoria Monét is still in awe of her 2024 Grammy award wins.

The “On My Mama” singer-songwriter, 35, posted to Instagram on Tuesday, May 14, to share that her three gramophones for best new artist, best R&B album, and best engineered album, non-classical, finally arrived in the mail after the Recording Academy’s Feb. 4 ceremony. “They came!!🥲🥲🥲 thank you God!!!” she captioned a photo of the trophies.

“ 🏆🏆🏆 I’ll cry or maybe even laugh a little every time I pass these in my home,” the certified-platinum songstress added in the post soundtracked to her Grammy-nominated “How Does It Make You Feel” track.

Monét also thanked celebrity stylist Bryon Javar for framing an X post of hers, pictured above, in which she manifested her Grammy awards “11 years before the wins.” It reads, “Stayin in working, while I dream of that Grammy!!!”

The R&B breakout star concluded her Instagram post by reflecting on the reward of her Grammy wins after spending over a decade in the music industry penning hits for others — including longtime friend Ariana Grande and Chloe x Halle — and now herself.

“It’s an incredible reminder that when you want something, the only thing between you and that thing is time,” she wrote, “and if you’re willing to spend that time in your highest forms of hard work, passion, consistency and gratitude for the journey, your dreams will have no choice but to run to you!! 🤎✨.”

In February, Monét took the stage at the 66th annual Grammy Awards to tearfully accept her best new artist award, a category in which she beat out nominees Gracie Abrams, Fred again.., Ice Spice, Jelly Roll, Coco Jones, Noah Kahan and The War and Treaty.

In her acceptance speech, the “Alright” singer thanked the Recording Academy voting members and, of course, her mom, adding, “A single mom raising this really bad girl. Thank you so much.”

She went on to direct her message to “everybody who has a dream,” saying, “I want you to look at this [win] as an example. Thank you, God."

"This award was a 15-year pursuit,” Monét continued. “I moved to LA in 2009. And I like to liken myself to a plant who was planted, and you can look at the music industry as soil, and it can look to be looked at as dirty, or can be looked at as a source of nutrients and water. My roots have been growing underneath ground unseen for so long, and I feel like today I'm sprouting, finally, above ground."

When the 2024 Grammy nominees were announced back in November, Monét made history as the second most-nominated artist this year with seven total nominations. She even snagged a best traditional R&B performance nod for her 3-year-old daughter, Hazel Monét Gaines, who was featured on her “Hollywood” track, making the toddler the youngest Grammy nominee ever.

Speaking on the major accomplishment to PEOPLE in December, Monét said, "It's a really big deal.” “I think it's another full circle moment for me because during pregnancy, everything was really scary," she added. "People were telling me how bad of a career move it could be, how detrimental to everything it could be."

She continued, "Pregnancy, it's going into unknown territory, and no one's story is the same. So, to have one of the more fearful moments career-wise turn into one of the best moments ever of my career is really magical. I'm honored to have the accolade for her."

Following her Grammy wins, Monét performed during day three of both weekends of Coachella in April, where she treated festival goers to a medley of songs from her Grammy-winning Jaguar II album, released last August, plus tracks from previous projects, like 2020’s Jaguar.

During her opening weekend performance on April 14, the “Stop (Askin' Me 4Shyt)” artist boldly called for a ceasefire amid the ongoing Israel-Gaza war, telling the crowd, “Stop the wars, stop the hate, stop the genocides, stop motherf---ing hating.”

“Live with love,” the Artists 4 Ceasefire co-founder added. “Stop thinking so small. You need to be thinking big, bitch. Think big, bitch.”

This summer, Monét will continue her festival run at events like Philadelphia’s Roots Picnic, New York City’s Governors Ball, Broccoli City Festival in Washington D.C., Chicago’s Lollapalooza, and Outside Lands Festival in San Francisco.
