This spring, things are about to get ugly — but in a really cute way. On May 3, STX Entertainment will unveil UglyDolls, an animated musical based on the plush toy line that originally hit shelves in 2001. Directed by Shrek 2‘s Kelly Asbury and produced by Robert Rodriguez, the film’s cast includes top singers like Kelly Clarkson, Nick Jonas, Janelle Monáe and Pitbull. And some those performers will now be immortalized in plush (and other materials) as part of a new Hasbro-produced line of UglyDolls toys, which will be ready for their close-up as part of Toy Fair 2019, which runs from Feb. 16 through Feb. 19 in New York City. Yahoo Entertainment has your exclusive first look at these hideously adorable toys. Scroll down to see all the ugliness you can bring home in the spring from your local toy retailer.
