Tyrese Gibson Accuses Ex-Wife Of Extortion, Death Threats, And More

Tyrese Gibson has come forward with serious accusations against his ex-wife.
In a social media post, the 45-year-old detailed claims that include allegations of extortion, death threats, and more from Norma Mitchell Gibson. On Tuesday (April 30), Gibson shared an image of a court order on Instagram. He detailed the reasoning behind the legal action in a lengthy caption.
“I’m finally addressing because I have to… I’ve read your comments so here’s my response….The days of me suffering in silence and living in fear are over….. 167 pages filed in the Los Angeles courthouse,” shared the actor.
“No lies and no goofy sh*t…. Everything in these court docs has real receipts attached….Sadly, when f€#k shit is done to MEN it doesn’t matter…. Blackmail, extortion, defamation, death threats, tax evasion forged signatures, falsified bank statements, domestic and international wire fraud.. Money laundering all the above spelled out….I got nothing to lose but my peace and sanity…”
An additional upload on Wednesday shared more on Gibson’s alleged experience.
“I’ve got nothing to lose but my mind and my reputation… And neither one of these are no longer up for grabs,” detailed the Baby Boy star. “I get it, I get it… We are living in the TIMES UP and ME TOO ERA! And as soon as a man goes public about the abuse and trauma inflicted on him by a women we are shamed into silence? I’m past that…Be yourself in my comments! STFU , MAN UP! Stop putting your personal sh*t out there on the timeline…. Be more private”
He continued, “I am done with living in fear… I got 1 TYRESE! Just 1.. and I am going to protect my name and legacy and family until I take my last breath.. This is a man BLEEDING OUT LOUD.”
According to PEOPLE, the couple was married in 2007 and separated in 2009. Together, they co-parent a daughter, Shayla, and in 2017, the R&B singer was granted shared custody.
Tyrese married Samantha Lee in 2017 on Valentine’s Day. The couple, who had a daughter, Soraya, in 2018, announced their divorce in 2020.
