Tyler Film Festival nearing submission deadline

TYLER, Texas (KETK) – The deadline for filmmakers to submit their work for the Tyler Film Festival is soon approaching.

East Texas cities look to fill seasonal jobs

According to a release, submissions to the film festival close on May 1, until then filmmakers can submit their entries online.

The Tyler Film Festival describes itself as a “celebration of storytelling through film,” where local and independent filmmakers are encouraged to submit their short films, 15 minutes or shorter, to be highlighted and enjoyed by the community.

The Tyler Film Festival said that films should be suitable for a general audience, 12A or PG-13, and that this year there are additional award categories to honor the hard work of more filmmakers.

The festival will take place at Liberty Hall on 103 E. Erwin St. from Sept. 12-14, tickets will be available for purchase at the film festival’s website as well as the theater’s website, tickets may also be purchased the night of the events at the box office.
