TVLine Items: Outlaws Return Date, Dulé Hill Joins Pompeo Drama and More

The Outlaws are back next month: Season 3 of star/creator Stephen Merchant’s comedic thriller will premiere with all five episodes on Friday, May 31 on Prime Video.

The show follows a group of strangers from different walks of life forced together to complete a community payback sentence in Bristol. In the upcoming season, “with crime boss The Dean (Claes Bang) behind bars awaiting trial, The Outlaws are moving on with their lives—until one of their own returns with a deadly secret, hurling them back into mortal danger,” reads the official synopsis. “As a murder manhunt closes in on the gang, can they prove their innocence before The Dean’s case collapses, and he comes looking for revenge?”

In addition to Merchant (The Office), the cast includes Rhianne Barreto (No Escape, Hanna), Gamba Cole (Soon Gone: A Windrush Chronicle, Hanna), Darren Boyd (Killing Eve, Trying), Clare Perkins (Silo, The Wheel of Time), Eleanor Tomlinson (Poldark, The Couple Next Door), Jessica Gunning (Back, Baby Reindeer), Charles Babalola (Black Mirror, Shaka: King of the Zulu Nation), Tom Hanson (Brassic) and Christopher Walken (The Deer Hunter, Dune: Part Two).

* Dulé Hill (Psych) and Sarayu Blue (Expats) will recur opposite Ellen Pompeo in the Hulu limited series Orphan (working title), our sister site Deadline reports.

* The Letterkenny spinoff Shoresy will release all six Season 3 episodes Friday, June 21 on Hulu.

* Danica McKellar and Oliver Rice (Chesapeake Shores) will star in the Great American Family movie A Royal Christmas Ball (working title), with waltzes choreographed by Dancing With the Stars’ Gleb Savchencko. Premiering this November, the movie follows Chelsea Jones (McKellar), “a dance instructor and studio owner in Chicago who inspires kids to find themselves through dance,” reads the official synopsis. “Just before Christmas, Chelsea discovers a photo she’s never seen before. Chelsea thinks the young woman is her birth mother who passed away when she was only five years old. The woman is in a wedding dress tugging on the hand of a man wearing a wedding ring, but that is all that can be seen of the man Chelsea believes may be her father. The photo’s handwritten inscription reads, ‘Our place, Havenshire, December 23, 1984.’ With only the internet, a plane ticket, and lifelong determination to go on, Chelsea now has four days in Havenshire to solve the mystery of her birth family. Along the way, she’ll have to sneak into a castle, teach a stubborn Prince how to dance, and be in just the right place on Christmas Eve when the bells toll.”

* Apple TV+ has released a trailer for Season 4 of Trying, which premieres Wednesday, May 22, with the first two episodes, followed by weekly releases:
