Aang: The Last Airbender, the Avatar film currently in the works at Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon Studios, has found its leads, Variety reports.

Dave Bautista and singer/songwriter Eric Nam are set to headline the animated movie slated for theatrical release on Oct. 10, 2025. Bautista will voice a villainous character while Nam will portray Aang, TVLine has confirmed.

Dionne Quan (The Fairly OddParents, All Grown Up!), Jessica Matten (Dark Winds, Frontier) and Román Zaragoza (Ghosts) round out the ensemble.

Aang is the first in a trio of standalone Avatar movies first announced in 2022. Lauren Montgomery (Avatar: The Last Airbender, The Legend of Korra) will co-direct with William Mata (The Sea Beast, Rise of the Guardians), while original series creators Michael DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko executive-produce with Eric Coleman (Avatar: The Last Airbender, SpongeBob SquarePants).

* Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, is launching two new unscripted shows for Netflix as part of her and Prince Harry’s overall deal with the streamer, per Variety. They include a lifestyle show curated by the Duchess that will “celebrate the joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining, and friendship,” and a polo series primarily shot at the U.S. Open Polo Championship in Wellington, Fla which pulls the curtain back on the professional sport.

* The BET+ comedy The Ms. Pat Show will return for Season 4 on Thursday, May 23, according to Deadline. BET has also renewed the courtroom reality show Ms. Pat Settles It for Season 2.

* WE tv has greenlit the docuseries Tia Mowry: My Next Chapter, which follows the veteran actress as she navigates “newly single status, motherhood, building businesses and juggling her super busy and ever-evolving career,” per the official synopsis. A premiere date has not yet been set.

* The CW will be the exclusive broadcast home for the final eight races of the 2024 NASCAR Xfinity Series this fall, beginning Friday, Sept. 20 with the NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Bristol Motor Speedway and culminating with the Xfinity Series Championship from Phoenix Raceway on Saturday, Nov. 9.
