Travis Kelce shares story of meeting a Chiefs fan while shopping in Paris

Chiefs Kingdom stretches far beyond Missouri and Kansas. Heck, it’s not even limited to the United States. You can find Chiefs fans all around the globe.

Tight end Travis Kelce learned that fact while visiting his girlfriend, singer Taylor Swift, in Paris.

A Chiefs/Taylor Swift fan named Jon Lunenfeld shared photos on social media of his trip to Paris where he saw three of the “Eras Tour” shows and met Kelce. Lunenfeld was wearing a “New Heights” cap, like the ones made in Kansas City, when he bumped into Kelce.

During the latest episode of his “New Heights” podcast, Kelce talked about meeting the fan, who was wearing a No. 87 “Le Kelce” jersey.

“Yeah, so I’m at the Louis Vuitton store out there in Paris,” Kelce recalled. “They had a green ‘New Heights’ hat on, as well as a Chiefs 89 jersey. The 89 being significant to 1989 (the name of one of Swift’s albums).”

Kelce has now seen five of Swift’s 87 shows on the “Eras Tour” and it’s been on five continents. He talked about them all on the podcast.

“Kansas City showed out. Argentina was unbelievable,” Kelce said. “Australia, they partied with the best of them, and they celebrate with the best of them. Those three were unbelievable. Singapore was so unique and so fun. And then Paris, it was on a whole other level, man.

“And I’m happy for everybody that’s in the ‘Eras Tour’ that’s performing, from the dancers to the band and obviously Taylor. It just looks like they’re having so much fun out there. And they’re absolutely killing it. And they’re putting on a show that you won’t get anywhere else.”
