Transformers One Trailer: Optimus Prime and Megatron Fly Sky High

Paramount Pictures took to the sky today to debut their trailer for Transformers One, the upcoming animated origin story of Optimus Prime and Megatron, which will star Chris Hemsworth and Brian Tyree Henry.

Studios launch trailers weekly, but this time, Paramount did things a little differently and took to the stratosphere, 125,000 feet above Earth, to reveal the trailer, which came with a custom intro from Hemsworth and Henry.

The unique event was available to stream on the @TransformersMovie social accounts, co-streamed by Chris Hemsworth on Instagram and via the Paramount Pictures YouTube channel.

Fans gathered to watch the event take place in real-time, which first saw the trailer launch into the atmosphere before a lengthy sixty-minute journey came to a halt where the first glimpse at what to expect from Transformers One was shown.

Set to hit theaters on September 20, Transformers One stars Hemsworth and Henry alongside Scarlett Johansson, Keegan-Michael Key, Steve Buscemi, Laurence Fishburne and Jon Hamm.

The trailer kicks off with a rift between Optimus Prime and Megatron before launching into a healthy helping of action sequences for the fans looking to see the Transformers in action. Hemsworth and Henry seemed to have mastered the chemistry between their animated counterparts, and we got a preview of how the other actors come into play.
