TRAILER: First Look at MaXXXine Starring Mia Goth

Ti West's MaXXXine finally has its first trailer, and fans have been waiting in great anticipation for this one as it marks the third film in the "X" series from the horror director.

Following the events of West's 2022 film X, Mia Goth returns as Maxine, the sole survivor.

She is continuing her journey towards fame and has set out to make it as an actress in 1980s Los Angeles.

Joining Goth is the cast are Giancarlo Esposito, Michelle Monaghan, Elizabeth Debicki, Kevin Bacon, Lily Collins, Bobby Cannavale and Halsey.

The first film in the series, X, landed in theaters on March 18 2022.

Set in 1979, it follows a group of young filmmakers making an adult film in Texas who get caught out by their hosts, which results in the cast fighting for their lives.

Mia Goth, Jenna Ortega, Brittany Snow, Kid Cudi and Martin Henderson starred in the film, which received critical acclaim, landing 94% on Rotten Tomatoes from 226 reviews.

Released to similar rapturous praise was Pearl, the second in the series, led, again, by Mia Goth.

Pearl follows a young woman on the brink of madness in 1918 who decides to pursue stardom in an attempt to flee life on her parent's farm.

West's series is an exploration of human's innate desire for fortune and fame, and each film provides a new lens to look through.

MaXXXine is set for a theatrical release on July 5.
